The composition of 347 grade stainless steel includes the following elements; 17% of chromium and 9% of nickel, along with carbon, manganese, silicon, phosphorus, sulfur, cobalt, and iron. This composition gives the material a high melting point of 1454°C, while it has strength properties only comparable to that of grade 304, with a minimum yield strength of 205 MPa and a minimum tensile strength of 515 MPa.
